Litchi & a test
Our supermarket offered litchi and because I've never tried out litchi we bought them. So I tried out litchi and I think you get used to this (as my sister said, and I agree though I nearly taste nothing because of my cold) shampoo tasting fruit.
here 2 pictures from the litchi:
and then I tried to make salty crackers because I have had enough from the sweet stuff. Ok, they weren't pefect - I have to work on the flavour - but the consistence was, as my family said, good.

No Bake Oatmeal Cookies
When I saw that chocolate covered vegan made these cookies, I thougt: "You have to make them NOW!" . So I went downstairs into the kitchen and made them. I made some changes about the recipe, I took soy-rice-milk which has a slight sweet taste, less sugar ( 1 1/2 cups), instead of quick oats (because I had none) rolled oats and instead of walnuts unsweetend coconut flakes (because I think oats and coconut match perfectly). They taste very good but a little bit too sweet, though I have a sweet tooth ;-) (I can't imagine how incredible sweet they must taste plus 1/2 cup sugar).
stuffed peppers
This is adapted from a vegetarian cookbook.
100 g (1/2 cup) blended tofu (normal tofu not silken tofu)
150 g (1 cup + 2 1/2 tablespoons) soy yoghurt
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
2 knife points garlic powder (or you use fresh garlic)
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons frozen herbs (I used an 8-herbs-mix)
25 g (3 tablespoons) sunflower seeds
100 ml (1/3 cup + 3 tablespoons) water
5 g (1 tablespoon) agar
Blend the tofu in the mixer, add soy yoghurt and olive oil. Season to taste with salt, pepper, nutritional yeast, garlic powder and stir in the sunflower seeds.
Bring water and agar to a boil, stir in the tofu-soy yoghurt mix and fill it into peppers, put it into the fridge till it's gelled. Take a sharp knife put it into water and cut the peppers into pieces.
variations:
take frozen dill and afterwards fill into cucumbers
vary the seeds or take pine nuts
PS: Perpare it the day before, it will taste better ;-) .
