This is a dish from eastern europe, we call this "Plow" and it's really simple to make. The original recipe from my mother is with chicken , but I used TVP instead of chicken. You just sauté a chopped onion and a carrot cut into small pieces, add the TVP and then rice and water and let it cook till the rice has soaked up the water and add some spices.

I loved your presentation! And by the way the clafoutis & the croustades looks really really yummy despite you saying they weren't good. I love any veganized bechamel!
